Rodents live in close proximity with humans. These rodents are nocturnal and tend to move indoors to warmer areas during late summer or early winter. They remain indoors if food and suitable living-conditions are available. Rodents generally have a poor sense of vision, but they have an acute sense of smell, touch, and taste. They tend to gnaw through any material that is softer than their enamel, and they are generally good climbers, jumpers, swimmers, and burrowers. They have the ability to transfer diseases, contaminate food, and cause structural damage.
